BAH.FYI is an informative website about the Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH), a monthly stipend paid to Active Duty service members who are not provided government quarters, and by Veterans utilizing VA education benefits.
Created by USMC Veteran Anthony Santos, BAH.FYI provides interactive tools to find precise information about the exact BAH rate you are looking for. Whether you are planning a Change of Duty Station, looking to transfer colleges, or just browsing rates, using any of our “tools” means BAH beneficiaries will find accurate rates for their individual needs based on their pay grade, dependency status and location. We don’t use “averages” to mislead users and leave them guessing. Use our tools below:
“It shouldn’t take hours of searching for ZIP Codes to plan a move or a future budget.”
— Anthony santos, FOUNDER
Santos believes that the current DoD BAH Calculator is out-of-date, and other tools on the web have proven to be inaccurate by showing users an average of all pay grades, which would give an E-4 hope and an 0-7 chills. Even worse, there are tools out there giving an average BAH rate for location. BAH.FYI will always allow filtering to show users the exact BAH rate they are looking for. Any infographics (non-interactive tools) that use a single pay grade, dependency, and/or location will explicitly show how the defined rates have been calculated.
Provide free interactive tools for BAH that save users time, while providing insight about the allowance for undereducated beneficiaries.
